I knew this would happen!!
My daughter starts working at a vet's office and the 'free' animal rescue begins. :)
Nothing yet....but we almost ended up with a 'free' mustang horse yesterday. Good thing I'm flexible when it comes to her and animals. All I ask of her is that she consult me FIRST before making any hasty decisions about rescuing an animal.
I've had dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, tarantula's, mice, gerbils, hermit crabs, wild birds, and tame birds in my house. I'm sure I have forgotten some, but you get the idea.
Grace has ALWAYS had a thing for animals. I do not, for the life of me, know how she come by that.....I'm not that fond of animals. And I've never known her dad to be....except fishing and hunting deer.
I'd have to say the best animal she's ever had has got to be her black lab. That dog is amazing. Well, she WAS until she got old. Now she doesn't think she has to mind anymore. I wonder where she gets that?
The weirdest animal Grace has ever had is a toss-up between her orange corn snake that she still has, and the tarantula she had. It's now in a college biology department. Good riddance!!
I just hopes she uses her head when deciding to rescue a 'free' animal. I hope she remembers 'free' doesn't REALLY mean free. All of our animals were 'free'.......isn't that a joke??
I hope she get's another opportunity for a horse again sometime. I know she has really been wanting one.
But maybe she should prepare for rain, BEFORE reaping the harvest!
