Dreams and Answered Prayer

Quick note:

I'm rather excited for my daughter.  She's getting to do something she has ALWAYS wanted to do.  She is going on a mission trip......to Honduras.

Granted, it won't be until next May......but she is definitely getting to go....and that gives her (and me) PLENTY of time to prepare!  It can't be as bad as her going off to BCT like she did?!

More to come as the time draws nearer.  I am positively so very excited.  Can you tell?  I'm sure you're sitting there grinning right along with me :D

OK.....this thought just popped in my head.

God DID say, in His Word, that if we delight ourselves in Him, that He would give us the desires of our heart. ~ Psalms 37:4 - Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

I have set back these last few months, and watched as my daughter went through a major crisis in her life.  Watched helplessly because there was nothing I could do.  But there WAS something God could do......and He did.

She could have abandoned her God, and blamed Him for this crisis.  But she did just the opposite.  She drew upon the promise of Psalms 37:4 (see above).

She praised God more.

She prayed more.

She drew ever closer to her Heavenly Father, getting as close to Him as she possibly could....kinda like Psalms 91:4 - he shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust.....

Actually, go meditate on ALL of Psalms 91.  It's truly AWESOME!!

When this crisis started, she turned to God immediately.....and an instant turn around and change in her life started happening....for the BETTER!

For one, she landed her 2nd dream job (the first being a wife and mamma).

She works for our vet. (And might I add, the BEST vet there is.)  She is having the time of her life.  And, in working for this particular vet, another dream looks as if it will become a reality.....a mission trip to another country.

I also know that God is working on her ultimated dream....and the CORRECT man she is to marry.  *grinning big*

God's time is the better time.

I'm beginning to think, as she does, that maybe she was too hasty in her past relationship.....that maybe we just didn't listen.

In thinking back, maybe God WAS trying to tell us this wasn't right, because almost from the start this was a very rocky relationship.  Nothing ever worked....and I am SURE now that God WAS telling her (and her family - because that was her prayer) that we had the wrong guy.

A wolf in sheep's clothing kinda guy.  The ULTIMATE disguise.....and we bought it....for a time.

We are better prepared now.  Thank you God for stopping this when you did.  We praise you for protecting Grace.  We praise you for pulling her into your sheltering arms and loving her back to health, and for giving her HOPE!

OK!!!!  So maybe this wasn't such a 'quick note' after all.  I'm sure you've all been there.....you're going to make a quick note, then God puts something else in your heart to write.  IT HAPPENS!!!

I love this child of mine, who's not such a child anymore....but a loving, caring, compassionate young lady who loves God with all her heart.....and will love her husband and children with all her heart as well.  This very blessed young man...is VERY BLESSED indeed!

Excited to see what else God has in store for this beautiful and loving young lady!!!
