Mom's Frosty Eggnog
 
Ingredients:
 
6 egg whites
1/4 cup sugar
6 egg yolks
1/2 cup Karo Syrup (Dark or Light)
1/2 pt. half-and-half cream
1 pt vanilla ice cream
nutmeg or cinnamon
 
Instructions:
 
In large bowl, with mixer at high speed, beat 6 egg whites until foamy.  Gradually beat in 1/4 cup sugar until stiff peak forms. 
 
In small bowl, with mixer at medium speed, beat 6 egg yolks and 1/2 cup Karo Syrup together about 5 minutes or until thick and lemon colored.  Add 1/2 pint half-and-half cream.  Beat until mixed well.  Fold into egg white mixture.  Cover and refrigerate.  
 
When ready to serve place 1 pint ice cream into punch bowl and pour eggnog over icecream.  Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon.  Enjoy!  Enjoy!  Enjoy! 
 
Makes 24 - 1/2 cup servings.
