Waking Up is Awesome!

God is good.....and I am blessed.

I know I say that quiet often, but sometimes nothing else need be said.

As I was reading my devotions this morning, I felt at peace.  At peace with life (I love my life - but could do without some people trying to cause problems), at peace with God (I've had some doubts, but we've resolved them), at peace for my daughter (she's going to be OK).

 It was mentioned in my devotions this morning, that we should always be praising God, because God is always blessing us.  And that....He is!

As I meditated on that thought, I started thinking of ways I was blessed.....I didn't get very far after the first one.....I am blessed because I woke up this morning.  How AWESOME is that?  I woke up this morning.  The way my heart beats (very fast at times, always irregular, then with occasional long pauses between beats), I'm very grateful and thankful God let me wake up to see another beautiful day.

People take waking up for granted.  People take breathing for granted......and walking, and driving, and typing on their blog or facebook....you get the idea.  ALL of those things are GIFTS FROM GOD!  All of those things have been given to you BY GOD.  He has BLESSED you with those every day things you all take for granted.

I say 'you all' and not 'we' for a reason.  You see, I don't take those things for granted.

Just the simple fact that I woke up this morning is AMAZING!

The fact that I just took a deep breath and exhaled slowly is AMAZING (and felt good - sometimes I can't do that)!

The fact that I drove my car Monday night (by myself) and didn't have a wreck is AMAZING!  I could have passed out (because of the heart - thanks heart) behind the wheel and had a wreck and killed myself or someone else.

Every breath I take, every step I take, every morning I wake up, everything I do is ordered by my God.  He is watching out for me.

Days may not always be 'the best'....but they are days to live, none the less.  Days to once again praise God, to love my family, to meditate on my Father's goodness and kindness, to wonder at the AWESOMENESS of the Creator of this infinite universe.

Yes....we should continually praise our Heavenly Father.  He IS always blessing us.  If it's nothing more than the fact that you woke up this morning.....PRAISE HIM!  Nothing is insignificant with God.  Everything that matters to YOU....matters to HIM!!  Isn't that amazing?

Life is a gift from God.....praise Him for it!!

  If my dad doesn't start giving me warning before he shoots his gun next door, he's literally going to scare me to death.  Nice heart......settle down!
